What is a fandom fundraiser?
The purpose of a fandom fundraiser is to raise awareness and funds for a cause. The fundraiser is open to anyone who has a desire to help raise funds and awareness, whether they are personally affected in some way or whether they just want to help in any way they can.
The main part of a fandom fundraiser is the compilation of stories. The compilation is the "reward" given to everyone who gives the minimum monetary donation outline on the donation page. The compilation is also given to every person who contributes as an author, artist, or beta.
The compilation is an e-book that includes all the stories donated to the fundraiser. The stories are usually fan fiction—primarily one-shots, outtakes, or unpublished chapters for other stories. Some fundraisers accept stories from specific fandoms, but ours are open to any fandom, as well as crossovers.
How can I help?
Monetary donations are always helpful. However, you can also help by contributing to the compilation by signing up as an author, artist, or beta.
How do I receive a copy of a story I’m interested in?
All stories will be in a e-book that is distributed to all authors, artists, and betas, as well as individuals who give a monetary donation as outlined on the donate page.
I signed up as a beta. Why do I have to complete a quiz?
While you may be a very knowledgeable and experienced beta, the sad fact is that there are a lot of people in the fanfiction community who call themselves a beta and may sign up for an event such as this, yet they don't have knowledge to truly help an author correct errors in their story. Potential authors may or may not know who you are and how knowledgeable you are when they see your name. The quiz allows us to reassure all potential authors that every beta listed here is truly capable of helping them edit their submission. Click here to access the quiz.
What type of story can I submit?
The story may be any theme, any fandom (including crossovers), with any 'ship you want (or even none at all). It can also be any rating.
What length should a submitted story be?
A: Your stories can be as long as you want them to be. We only ask that they be a minimum of 1,500 words.
